Monica Malorgio McNabb

Monica Malorgio McNabb made San Marcos her home when she opted to transfer from University of Cincinnati to Texas State University – San Marcos in the fall semester of 1998.  She pursued her BBA with a focus in Economics, graduating in 2000.  She continued her academic passion and graduated with an MBA from Texas State University in the fall of 2005.  During this time, Monica realized that her affection for supply and demand, price and quantity and economic theory could be realized through real estate sales and began as a salesperson in 2004.

Not able to contain her entrepreneurial spirit, and after earning her Brokers license, she launched McNabb & Co. Real Estate Services in July of 2009.  Amidst a severe real estate downturn, Monica Malorgio McNabb saw an opportunity and the start-up thrived moving from the floor of her home office to a 19 agent office. The firm housing a residential and commercial division that’s earned her team several awards.

Recently, she and partners acquired an existing San Marcos based property management company. They operate the full-scale business under the name SMTX Property Management.  Monica never was able to let the college learning environment escape and has lectured at her alma mater. She taught a senior level real estate finance course in the McCoy College of Business, earning her the Excellence in Teaching award twice, from 2009 until 2018.  As a full believer in her community, Monica has served as President of the San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce, President of the Four River Association of Realtor, President-Elect for Texas State’s Friends of Fine Arts, and Bobcat Club Leadership Council.

Monica Malorgio McNabb lives life to the fullest, enjoying every moment she can!  Her favorite times are spent traveling abroad with her 2 daughters, exploring new cities, cultures and languages.
